Caleb Stone took a photo of this beadshop in Rockport, MA, where he lives. I think he shared it with other students, because a friend of mine who lives in Gloucester, mentioned seeing it before. I had to explain that I didn’t copy Caleb’s painting! During the class, Caleb borrowed my table easel to rest his painting. Feeling frustrated with how slow mine was going, I exclaimed as I re-entered the room,”Oh, great, my painting is done!” Size: Medium. Price: $300.

This is a place just as you drive toward Boothbay Harbor. I loved the way the light was hitting the trees. My brother-in-law admired it so, that I gave it to him and my husbands’ sister to keep. Paintings make the best presents!

Last June, I took a one week class with Caleb Stone on Monhegan Island, Maine. It was often cold and grey — being the early part of the summer, but the last few days brought us some sun as I painted this plein-air on the hill overlooking the harbor. $200.

One of my favorite scenes growing up in Malvern, Pennsylvania. It is fox hunting country and close to where I lived is a horse farm where I took several riding lessons. A visit there last year prompted this painting. A veterinarian lives there now. SOLD.
