I had to explain that I didn’t copy Caleb’s painting! During the class, Caleb borrowed my table easel to rest his painting. This is a place just as you drive toward Boothbay Harbor. I loved the way the light was hitting the trees. My brother-in-law admired it so, that I gave it to him and my husbands’ sister to keep. Paintings make the best presents!

Last June, I took a one week class with Caleb Stone on Monhegan Island, Maine. It was often cold and grey — being the early part of the summer, but the last few days brought us some sun as I painted this plein-air on the hill overlooking the harbor. $200.
One of my favorite scenes growing up in Malvern, Pennsylvania. It is fox hunting country and close to where I lived is a horse farm where I took several riding lessons. A visit there last year prompted this painting. A veterinarian lives there now. SOLD.
